Born in Brazil, Gustavo Fernandes was always amazed by the special effects created in movies, and at a young age decided to­ be the guy behind the camera making the magic happen.

Graduated with honors in Industrial Design at Fundacao Armando Alvares Penteado in Sao Paulo Brazil, Gus worked with Product Design as a concept artist, modeling and rendering electronic devices such as DVD players, TVs, audio systems, VCRs, and remote controls with Alias Studio Tools.

In 2002, Gus decided to follow his dream of working in the special effects industry, so he moved to Canada to study Computer Animation and Arts at the Toronto film School and at Sheridan College.

Since graduation, Gus has worked at various studios in Toronto and as a freelancer.  In 2003, Gus joined Sundogfilms as a VFX artist and is responsible for the 3D department working on feature films, TV series, and commercials.
